Dedication
The call for dedicated, caring family doctors in Wisconsin is more important now than ever before as there are growing concerns about the future workforce. In an effort to engage and educate medical students about the opportunities in family medicine, the WAFP-Foundation is aiming to send 50 students to the 2025 National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students.
Importance
We all know the importance of this project in ensuring a strong future for family medicine in Wisconsin. As an academy, we have a significant influence in determining the success of this campaign. In eleven years of supporting this program, we have provided funding for 442 students to attend the National Conference, and 87% of those students have matched in Family Medicine. That is an incredible return on investment!
Our Mission
But our mission doesn’t end here! If you would like to contribute towards the Foundation's goal, any amount that you wish to donate is appreciated, and we have created several levels of tax-deductible gifting to help the WAFP-Foundation send a student to the national conference.
We appreciate your generosity and support for advancing family medicine in Wisconsin.

The pandemic brought a lot of challenges, but a dedicated group of students from our Wisconsin medical schools still engaged in the Virtual National Conference again this year with hopes to attend in person next year. Thanks to those students for sticking it out for another virtual conference and for the donors who supported them with donations so we could provide scholarships!
