What inspires you the most about supporting medical students and residents in their Family Medicine journey?

I am privileged to work with medical students and residents on a regular basis in my work as a Family Physician at the UW Health-Belleville clinic. Every day I am inspired by their hard work and dedication to their patients and to their own education.

Why did you choose to donate to the Students to FUTURE fund?

As a graduate of UWSMPH I have benefitted from past support from the WAFP-F and I am lucky to now be in a position to give back and support current students in their journey towards a career in Family Medicine.

What do you hope your support helps achieve for the next generation of Family Physicians?

I hope that my support helps demonstrate my gratitude towards those that came before me to deliver high quality primary care to communities across Wisconsin. By supporting learners who are likely to practice in Wisconsin I hope to contribute to a continued tradition of excellence in service to our patients and communities.

Would you recommend donating to the WAFP-Foundation to your peers or other members? Why?

Our trainees are the future of our specialty - I recommend supporting them with a donation to the WAFP-Foundation. Even a small contribution can go a long way in building connections with our learners and letting them know we care about them as they navigate the challenges of medical education.
